Vojvodina’s offensive player Nemanja Čović points out that his team was unfairly defeated by Metalac and announces a better game on a difficult away match against Red Star.
Čović, who scored the only goal for the Old Lady in the defeat by Metalac, wants his team to keep the third place until the end of the season.
– I think we naively conceded goals. We created chances, and they scored, so the result was not fair. We wanted to win after the elimination from the Serbian Cup, unfortunately, that did not happen, although we were a better rival on the pitch. This match should be our motive to win more in every next one – said Čović.
In the next round, Vojvodina will face a difficult away game against the Red Star.
– For us, playing against Red Star is like any other game. Certainly, the duel with Red Star is a great challenge and motive for every player, and I am sure that we will show our true face. We have nothing to lose, on the contrary, we can only gain – Čović points out.
Offensive player of Voša adds that the third place is a sufficient motive to win every game until the end of the championship.
– This team always finds a motive to be better, and our goal now is to stay in the third position on the table. We deserved to stay there because of all the results so far, and we will do our best to stay third – Čović concluded.
