The right back of Vojvodina, Marko Bjeković, believes that the loan in Kabel, as well as a larger number of young players in the team, helped him in the first senior season in the first team of the Old Lady.
Also, on the eve of the upcoming match with Inđija, he pointed out that victory is the only thing that Nenad Lalatović’s team thinks about before every match.
– We are the favorites, we expect a victory, because we are only interested in three points. Our goal is to collect as many points as possible, to play well, attacking and to stay in the third position at the end of the championship – Bjeković pointed out.
He talks about his first season in the first team with a dose of caution, aware that there are things he needs to fix and progress.
– I am satisfied with how I play, I feel that I have the trust of the coach. It is up to me to reduce mistakes to a minimum, to justify that trust and fight for even more minutes, because I know that I still have space for progress. It helped me a lot that I felt on loan at Kabel what it means to play at the senior level. Also, for us younger, it is important to be in an environment where there is a larger number of peers, players who grew up in the club. Together we progress and gain experience. Vojvodina is the right place for us – Bjeković pointed out.
Like his teammates, Bjeković singles out the defense of the Serbian Cup as the main motive, but he also believes in the fall in Europe.
– Of course, all of us in the team dream of defending the Serbian Cup, and preserving the third position. As for some of the next ambitions, it is time for Voša to finally play in Europe in the fall as well – concluded Marko Bjeković, who played 11 matches for the Old Lady this season.
Vojvodina will face Inđija on Sunday at 3 pm, after which will follow a two-week break.
