The coach of Vojvodina, Radoslav Batak, estimated that the upcoming game with Čukarički is the most important since the Old Lady is on the bench.
On Wednesday, his team welcomes Čukarički in the semi-finals of the Serbian Cup, and Batak is optimistic despite two successive defeats against Čukarički and Red Star.
– I will not say anything new if I say that the most important game of the season awaits us tomorrow. There have been many so far, but this one is also one of them. We want to enter the finals and enter the club’s history, because Vojvodina has played in the Cup finals eight times and won the trophy twice. We are aware of the importance of the game and I think we are ready and I believe we will show it tomorrow in our stadium in front of our audience. As for the players, everyone is ready. In the last game, we did some tactics, I also told the players that the match with Red Star is the first half, and the match with Čukarički is the second half. We enter every game seriously, as befits Vojvodina and its tradition. Except for Uroš Nikolić who was sick, everyone trained yesterday and everyone is ready – said Batak.
He believes that his team has shown more good things than bad things in the past two games.
– In every good thing there is something bad, but also vice versa. I also said after the match with Čukarički that we were a better rival, we made one or two mistakes that cost us. We also analyzed the game with Red Star, we saw a lot of good things, Vojvodina was brave and competitive in the second half and in the end we had good chances that we could have realized. It takes time for such chances to be crowned with goals and for the game to become better. The game was good, although we did not do well in terms of results. We want to repeat those good things and reduce the number of mistakes to a minimum. The Cup is such a competition that everyone is punished, and that’s why we have to be as focused as possible – concluded Batak.
Tickets for this match will be sold at prices of 400 (west), 200 (east) and 100 dinars (north). Tickets for the west will be sold at the main box office of the stadium (between the west and south stands), tickets for the east will be sold at the box office on the east stand (next to the Ognjište restaurant), while tickets for the north will be sold at the Vojvodina fan shop on the west stands of Karađorđe.
