Vojvodina coach Radoslav Batak expects a real derby against Partizan and on that occasion he invited the fans to come to the Karađorđe stadium to support his team.
The Old Lady welcomes Partizan in the 36th round of the Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia on Sunday at 7 p.m., and Batak points out that his team is motivated before this match.
– I want to invite as many fans as possible for this derby. As a club, we fulfilled our goal, we qualified for the Conference League. I can say that since the game in Niš when we took over the team, no team has outplayed us. We made an exceptional streak, historically of 21 games without defeat. The previous coach, my colleague who was before me, had a big contribution to it, and basically I am satisfied with the relationship we have achieved and how we carried everything through to the end. I have to look back on yesterday’s game, in which we were tied. We had the initiative in the first half, Čukarički didn’t have a shot on goal, and we had a chance to take the lead through Kabić. Once again I want to call the fans to support us, to come and watch beautiful football and of course the result will be in our favor – said Batak.
He referred to the fact that some players have not played recently.
– At the end of the season, all players got a chance, the next season is slowly being looked at, some of their contracts are expiring, some are injured, so for various reasons some were not in the competition for the team – said Batak.
Coach of Voša points out that there will be no shortage of motivation in the derby with Partizan in front of the home fans.
– It wasn’t difficult to motivate them even when we had that positive streak, and I also don’t think we should motivate them especially now. We are playing a derby with Partizan, we just need to see how fresh the players are after the tough matches with Red Star and Čukaricki, so we will choose those who feel the best. Motivation will certainly not be a problem – says Batak.
Finally, he added that he will look at this as if it were the first round of the next season.
– I wouldn’t say about Partizan whether it is more ready or not, we will be responsible, not to forget the fact that we achieved the goal, but we want to be focused as if we did not secure Europe, but as if it was the first game in the next season – concluded Batak, noting that Uroš Vitas will not have the right to perform due to a red card in the match with Čukarički.
