Batak: I congratulate Čukarički, it was difficult with a lesser player

The coach of Vojvodina, Radoslav Batak, believes that Čukarički deservedly made it to the finals of the Serbian Cup.

The Old Lady failed to beat Čukarički in the repeated match, which was postponed yesterday due to heavy rains, and the visiting team won with the score 0-1.

– Congratulations to Čukarički, our rivals deservedly made it to the finals today. In the first half we had to score a goal, Kabić had a good chance and we had some other situations in which we did not manage well. In the second half, Čukarički was of course better, we played for more than half an hour with one less player, which was demanding and very difficult. At the worst moment, we conceded a goal, we tried to get closer to the goal with changes, but we failed to reach the penalty shootout – said Batak.

Vojvodina will welcome Partizan in the next game, on Sunday at 7 p.m.
