The players of Vojvodina FC will play their last control match before the start of the season 2024/25 on Sunday, and the rival is Turkish Basaksehir.
This match will be played in SC of the Football Association of Serbia in Stara Pazova, but on the request of the Turkish club it will be played behind closed doors, i.e. it will not be open for the public.
The club Basaksehir was founded in 1990, and they play at Fatih Terim stadium with the capacity of 17.319 seats.
The greatest success in the club’s history was achieved in the season 2019/20 when they won the championship title, while they finished the previous season in the fourth position, so they are also playing the qualifications for the Conference league, starting from the second round.
As for the lineup of the team led by Cagdas Atan, the most familiar name is the ex-member of Vojvodina FC, Danijel Aleksić, who has been a member of Basaksehir for 5 years. The most valuable player is the Polish attacker Krzysztof Piątek, estimated to be worth 6 million euros, while the next one in line is the Brazilian stopper Leo Duarte, estimated to be worth 3 million euros.
The match is scheduled for Sunday at 7pm, but it won’t be broadcasted live, and there won’t be a detailed report due to the request of the Turkish club.
After that, follows the last week of preparations, and then the first match of the Old Lady on July 21st against Tekstilac.
