The coach of Vojvodina FC Božidar Bandović is convinced that his team will continue their good game in the next round of Superliga against Čukarički.

After the Old Lady postponed the previous round with Novi Pazar, they will play their second championship match on Sunday, against the team of Čukarički.

 

  • After these two difficult matches against Ajax, we return to the championship and during these two days we have to recover and prepare for another difficult match against Čukarički. We are facing a dangerous and organized team, especially in the counter-attack, they play good pressing and have excellent individuals like Jovanović and Docić, so we have to be on our level if we want to win. As for the players, we cannot count on Aleksa Vukanović, the rest are ready – Bandović said.

 

He confirmed that Slobodan Medojević trained with the team, and that he is counting on him.

  • We will count on him starting with this next match. He is a player whom everyone knows, what can you say about him when he has such an extensive experience in the Bundesliga, he has quality and character, and I am sure that he will help us on the pitch and in the dressing room. He trained with us and his physical readiness is on a satisfying level – Bandović highlighted.

The coach of Vojvodina announced changes in the team after an exhausting match with Ajax.

  • There will be changes, especially because there are only two days between the matches, and then we are going to Maribor. We believe in all the players, we have quality at each position, two players at each position, so we can be ready for every match – Bandović said.

The coach believes that his team not only played well against Ajax, but also in the second part of the last season.

  • When you look at Ajax and how we ended the last season, they will look at us differently, and that is positive for Vojvodina. We are entering the eighth month of mutual work, the boys are ready and they adapted to our manner of work, which is not just a pattern. They can recognize situations and know what they have to do and that is the success of all of us. It won’t be easy, everyone will want to prove themselves against us, just like against the Red Star and Partizan – Bandović highlighted.

Finally, he said that he wants continuity, and for that they need to go match by match.

  • We don’t feel the pressure, we know what we are doing. As a coach, I cannot find one training where I could say something bad about my players. We are counting on everyone, we have a pool of players, everyone is mentally and physically ready, we have enough experienced players who can help the younger ones. We are all a part of a great club, the pressure is normal, but we need to have continuity if we want to make success. One part of the staff is already analysing Maribor, and we are only thinking about the next match, where we want to win. I am always thinking about the next match and that is Čukarički, and the players are aware of that as well – Bandović concluded.
