The coach of Vojvodina FC, Božidar Bandović gave first impressions after the draw for the second round of qualifications for Europa League.
Today’s draw decided that the first rival of Vojvodina will be the Dutch Ajax FC, one of the greatest clubs in Europe.
- Ajax is the European giant. Certainly, they are the favorites on paper, but for us it is positive that we will have an opportunity to compete with one such team. It is an honor to be in the position to play with Ajax FC, and we will definitely prepare the best that we can. Even though they have a bad season behind them, they now have a new coach and start from the scratch, and they will certainly be stronger. Ajax is Ajax, regardless of one bad season, they have new preparations with the new coach, and probably reinforcements, but we have enough time to analyze them and to prepare the best that we can – Bandović said.
The coach of Vojvodina FC added that the preparations so far have been going according to the plan.
- The preparations are going well, we entered the second week, we are preparing the players for the third week when we will raise the rhythm. Also, we are working on the principles of the game, and the style that we have been nurturing so far, with the goal to enhance it and be better. We are not experiencing any problems; the boys are working great. We have a strong intensity from week to week, so that in the new season we can be fully ready – Bandović concluded.
