The coach of Vojvodina FC, Božidar Bandović is pleased after the victory of his team against Napredak.
The players of the Old Lady won tonight at their Karađorđe, against the team of Napredak with the result 5:0, and returned to the fifth spot on the scoreboard.
- I congratulate the players on the excellent match and the fans on their great support. I believe that we played an excellent first half, we knew that we would be playing against a low defence, we changed sides quickly, created chances and gave those four goals. Later, we gave the chance to some other players, but I am generally more than pleased with the goals and the way that we scored them – Bandović said.
He also reflected on the defeat against Čukarički in the previous round.
- After so many good matches, it is possible that we thought that it would be easy, and when you think like that, then it’s not good. I think we now repeated what we had done before Čukarički, and that is that same way of playing – possession, pressing, chances and goals. That is how we need to keep playing until the end, because we are facing the finals. We no longer think about that defeat, nor this victory, because already tomorrow we have to prepare for Kragujevac – Bandović pinpointed.
Although both Čukarički and Radnički 1923 lost in this round, Bandović wants to deal only with his team and the results of Vojvodina FC.
- What I said to the players, we are looking only at our team, and we don’t want to depend on, nor think about the results of the other teams. The next match is the most important one, and we are thinking only about Radnički. If we win in the last two games, then we are surely in Europe – Bandović concluded.
In the next round Vojvodina is playing against Radnički 1923, and that match is scheduled for Thursday at 4:55 pm.
