Players of Vojvodina FC won at their Karađorđe, by defeating the team of Jedinstvo with the result 1:0 in the 27th round of Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia.
The scorer of the only goal for Vojvodina FC was Yusuf Bamidele in the 73rd minute.
Players of Vojvodina FC and Jedinstvo entered the pitch wearing the message ’’Light up the darkness’’, as a sign of support to women who suffer domestic abuse, under the campaign ’’Stop violence against women’’ that has been conducted by Mozzart foundation, in cooperation with the Serbian Super League and First League Club Union.
Teams performed in the following lineups:
Vojvodina: Rosić, Butean, Sichenje, Crnomarković, Barros (from 66th Bukinac), Petrović, Kokanović (from 90th Veličković), Mladenović (from 66th Savićević), U. Nikolić, Sery, Bamidele (from 77th Romanić).
Jedinstvo: Bengui, Golubović, Damjanić, Rogač, Paić, Kijevčanin, Rakić, Abas, Miladinović, Denzell, Hoard.
Vojvodina had the initiative and the ball possession since the start, and Butean had the first chance, he was in a good position and from the edge of the penalty area he shot over the bar. The guest team soon had their first chance, in the 5th minute when Rogač, after a corner shot, head kicked the ball over the goal.
Vojvodina attempted to break through the well-positioned defence of the guests, mostly through the left side where Sery and Barros were positioned, but the home team found it hard to reach the danger zone.
At the end of the 25th minute the guests had their first dangerous shot on the goal, since Abas shot from 22-23 meters, but the goalkeeper Rosić was well-placed.
Voša finally threatened in the 32nd minute, and after a 100% chance by Mladenović. Bamidele passed on the left flank, sent a returning ball through the penalty box, but Mladenović shot from a close distance over the bar.
Tanjga’s team had the ball possession in the continuation of the match as well, but they still found it hard to break through the well-positioned defence of the guest team. In the 59th minute Voša finally performed a nice attack, once again through Sery, who passed to Barros on the left flank, but his center shot ended in the corner for the home team. In the continuation of the action, Petrović tried a shot from the distance, but the goalkeeper of the guest team was in the right place.
Bad news for Voša happened in the 63rd minute when Barros felt a pain in his back, and had to leave the game immediately. He was replaced by Stefan Bukinac, and at the same time Savićević replaced Mladenović.
In the 73rd minute Voša managed to break the fort of Jedinstvo. Bukinac passed to Bamidele on the left flank, and Voša’s attacker saw that the goalkeeper was in a bad position, and scored for 1:0.
In the 82nd minute, Voša was only centimeters away from the second goal, when Sery escaped on the left side, went into the middle, and also shot the first angle, but the ball deflected from the first to the second goal post, and then onto the legs of Romanić, who didn’t have time to react and score.
However, that was not the end, because in the 87th minute Rosić saved the net of Voša. The guest team performed a quick counter-attack, Hoard shot from the right side, and Rosić pushed the ball to the corner with a parade.
In the added time, Rosić recorded another great defence, the guests performed a quick attack, and the players from Kiev finished it with a shot, but the goalkeeper of Voša was in the right position once again.
Voša thereby recorded the first domestic victory in 2025, and the next weekend they are playing against OFK Beograd on Sunday from 4:30 pm.
