Football clubs Vojvodina and Kabel signed a cooperation agreement today, with the common goal that the players from the Ilija Pantelić Youth Academy have the right place for their further development.
In the press room of the Karađorđe stadium, the presidents of FK Vojvodina and FK Kabel – Dragoljub Zbiljić and Nenad Miljuš – signed the cooperation agreement today.
On this occasion, the president of Vojvodina emphasized the importance of this agreement for all young players from the Ilija Pantelić football academy, who will have the opportunity to prove themselves and show that they are the future of our football.
– This is another of the actions of the continuation of revitalization and the complete return and strengthening of football in Novi Sad. Without strong Vojvodina, there is no strong football in Novi Sad, or even strong Serbian football. As you can see, strong and great Vojvodina was missing in our football. Even when we won the Serbian Cup, there wasn’t this much media attention, and that’s exactly why it’s a privilege and an honor to be at the head of this club. Our important message to our young players is the importance of this cooperation with the Kabel football club, which plays in the third tier of our football, Serbian league, Vojvodina group. Many of our young players will get a chance to prove themselves in Kabel, under the patronage of our coaches, and they will even continue to do some training at FC Vujadin Boškov. With this cooperation, we want to help our young players, and they will have the obligation to prove themselves and show that Vojvodina can count on them in the future. We believe in the new Management Board of Kabel and that the boys of Vojvodina will have the right conditions for development there – said Dragoljub Zbiljić.
The president of FK Kabel, Nenad Miljuš, thanked the Vojvodina Board of Directors for their trust.
– I want to thank FK Vojvodina and President Dragoljub Zbiljić for recognizing the objective potential of Kabel. They helped us find the right place in the Novi Sad football system. FK Kabel is playing in the Serbian League this season and at this moment the results will not be so much in the foreground as work with young people and their development. With the support of Vojvodina, we will try to be one development team, with the aim of enabling a large number of players to find their own development path in their further career – said Nenad Miljuš.
The President of Vojvodina answered further questions from journalists, and one of the more important ones was the transfer window.
– It is still an active and dynamic situation, and we have completed 90% of the things we planned. We have four offers on the table for our first team players. We are looking at the possibilities, whether we should wait another half-season or the entire season. We will make a decision in the coming period. In terms of arrivals, we plan to bring in two more players. Sports director Jovanović is very active these days and I think we will definitely bring in another reinforcement. We are negotiating with one big name, it is our player who plays in Spain, but I would not reveal the details further. I think we have a good team now and we are in no rush to have to strengthen in any line of the team. Every line of the team looks good, but that’s just my angle as president, I’ll leave it to the coach to analyze. I like to analyze things after 10 rounds played, when we have a clearer situation when it comes to both the results and the performance of individuals. What is the fact and the most important thing for us is that in the past period the club has been carried by some new energy and that the results are worthy of respect. As far as revenue is concerned, we earned over 2.5 million euros, and we have the possibility to make the earnings significantly higher. We are not in a hurry in terms of finances, because it is important for us that, as with the transfer of Milan Majstorović, we keep a percentage of the next sale, since we really believe in those boys. FC Dinamo Moscow has a great reputation, we received an offer with a serious figure and a percentage of the next sale, and we could not refuse it. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our sports director for his excellent work so far. It has completely opened us up on the market towards Russia, Spain, and the goal is to continue to establish communication and contacts with the other strongest football countries such as Italy, England, Germany, the Netherlands etc. I also want to expand our Board of Directors, I am negotiating with several former players of Vojvodina. This is our zero year, when we put things in place and I am still waiting for real results. There are several ways to spend the earned money and there is no sponsorship money, and most of the funds go to the functioning of the club. And in this connection, I want to boast about the fact that we pay salaries on time, we give bonuses on time, and we want to continue to be disciplined in this matter. For that we also need financial resources from the transfers – emphasized Zbiljić.
The first man of the Old Lady also referred to the dissatisfaction of Vojvodina fans with refereeing in certain matches.
– I am surprised that none of the journalists did their job to the end. I expect everyone to write as they see it. I share the opinion of our fans and fellow citizens, however, we may be subjective, but that’s exactly why the media should get involved. Every criticism is good, I don’t see a problem in writing that the referee made a mistake, if he really made a mistake. We will not advertise with official announcements, as it is our policy to try to correct our mistakes. We should have won the match in Lazarevac, because we were the better team. We will deal with our game and what we can do better, i.e. improve. The job of the media is to deal with other things and feel free to write when a mistake happens, it is irrelevant whether it is to the detriment or to the benefit of Vojvodina. A critical attitude is always welcome – said Zbiljić.
