Many friends and admirers said goodbye today in Novi Sad to Zoran Vučević, the President of the Assembly of the City of Novi Sad from 2004 to 2008, who left an indelible mark in the political and social life of the city with his activity and human virtues.
At the commemorative gathering at the Serbian National Theater, the president of FK Vojvodina, Dragoljub Samardžić, his godfather and longtime friend, also addressed the audience, reminding them of some interesting details from their lives and mutual friendship. The commemoration was also attended by members of the Vučević family, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and members of the Serbian government, presidents of the provincial government and assembly Igor Mirović and Istvan Pasztor, Belgrade deputy mayor Goran Vesić and many other officials, as well as Bishop Irinej of Bačka.
Zoran Vučević passed away suddenly in Greece on Sunday, at the age of 83, and at his request, the funeral was organized exclusively within the family circle.
