The coach of Vojvodina, Slavoljub Đorđević, thinks that the first game against the Austrian LASK was uncertain, but also that this duel is not over.
The Old Lady lost to the Austrian team after a great fight with the result 0-1 in the first match of the third round of qualifications for the Conference League.
– This was an uncertain match. LASK is a hard team, serious, they play direct football, they are physically quite strong. I think my guys played very hard, combative and disciplined. In the first half it was as it was, in the second we entered more bravely. Čova hit the post, that is one of the moments when the game breaks. LASK did not show how much was expected, we were waiting for our chance, we were a little confused, but I am still optimistic. We are going to the rematch bravely, we have nothing to lose, we will do our best, so with God’s help, I hope we will pass. I also want to thank the fans who gave us a huge wind in the back and we needed it. These guys have a huge potential, I have no doubt in them, time will show that this is a good team – said Đorđević.
He underlined that the absence of Cucin will be a problem in the return match, but that he hopes that Miljan Vukadinović and Mihajlo Nešković will be ready. He also concluded that Voša will not change its tactics and approach in the return match.
– Even if we won 1-0, everything would be the same. Two games are being played, this is the first half. I don’t see that they will play much differently in the return match than now, while we have a problem at right back, because Cucin received a red card. However, now we are turning to Voždovac, so we will prepare the best we can. I sincerely hope that Vukadinović and Nešković will be ready. We registered them for a rematch, because their help would really mean a lot to us and I believe they can be ready. We will give them a chance against Voždovac. If they play with no problems, I am sure that they will be in competition for the rematch – Đorđević emphasized.
In the next game, Vojvodina will meet Voždovac on Sunday at 6.55 PM, and then against LASK on Thursday at 9 PM.
